The following review is a transfered from Etsy:

“This clamp on bayonet lug is a one off item so patience following your payment is required but the end result is WELL WORTH the wait! Precision and quality with a perfect fit on a high quality item that is simply unavailable ANY WHERE else! Thank you to Cogburn.arsenal@gmail.com for supplying the final neccessary piece to complete the puzzle!!!”

Love this adapter, was the only thing I was still missing for my Rifle so I could attach the M7. Fit is PERFECT, only issue is like anything NEW, the bayonet attachment part is a tight fit and will need to be broken in so I have an easy and smooth attachment/detachment at current I had to loosen the screws to allow it to move so bayonet would detach (only cause of being tight, have to work it off which I’m sure will be smoother once broken in). I couldn’t be more happy with this product. Thank You Cogburn Arsenal.

Do u know what size barrel is on the early miny 30 stainless?

  3. Stan (verified owner)

I was able to use this with an M7 on my Ruger Mini 30 Model 5853 without any further modification of the weapon. What it requires is this grommet: https://www.rubberfeetwarehouse.com/collections/7-8-groove-diameter-rubber-grommets-fits-7-8-holes/products/1-2-inside-diameter-rubber-grommet-5-16-thick-1-16-groove-width-fits-7-8-holes
The grommet fits into the M7 muzzle ring and allows it to fit on the end of the barrel. I used the M7 instead of the others because it’s muzzle ring was the thinnest of the examples they had at my local surplus shop (ARMY NAVY SALES). I also put electrical tape on the inside of the lug to prevent slippage.

Bought the Two-part Clamp-on in stainless for my Mini-30. Excellent product. Fit and finish just what I was looking for. Came with screws and nuts.
Fits my Marines Corps OKC-3S bayonet firmly and securely. Now I have backup protection when I hog hunt with my thermal scope. I had a hog almost get me last year when it got too close to see with the thermal scope. I will buy more products from Cogburn for sure!!

.730″ would be best in this case.

Have a Bushmaster AR 15 Heavy Barrel. Size 0.73 inches or 18.6mm,need to know which size Two-part Clamp-on Bayonet lug i need. Thanks Floyd

    • cogburn

The .730″ part should work perfectly.

Got the .625″ clamp in the mail today, finish is nice, fits barrel and locks M8 bayo snug. Positions perfectly where the barrel thins out on .750″ a few inches behind the muzzle break and perfectly positioned for carbine length barrel. The bayo ring sits in the middle between the actual end of the muzzle and the birdcage holes so it doesn’t interfere with the muzzle device, matches well with the barrel profile (other bayo lug extenders and clamps I’ve seen look cheesy and have sub par finishes, this is certainly not the case here). Shipped 4 weeks on the nose from order date (so lead time is spot on). I would definitely recommend this product and do business with Cogburn Arsenal in the future.

I needed a larger diameter clamp (.775) to fit my Mossberg mvp in 308.I was able to have this option added and the part fits perfectly. This makes my second clamp. and I am about to order a third to fit my Ranch Rifle in 7.62 x 39.
These items are well made and the company ownership is flexible and reliable. Buy with confidence.

They have no contact information. It’s been over a week they have not replied to my email. A month to 3-D print something that should take a relatively short period of time. I feel like this is a scam.

I have no emails or orders with anyone using your name or email.

There is an answer addressing our 4 week lead time in our FAQ found here: https://cogburnarsenal.com/faq/

I own a ruger AR-15 and wanted a sleek bayonet lug for it. This fit the bill. There are many inside diameters to choose from. I purchase one that was slightly underside and used a ball hone to fit. It took cold blue well and installed it. It’s perfect! Thank you!

The website says 4 week lead time because it is produced as they get orders. My order was put in on April 25, 2021. The 4 week lead time ended last Friday the 21st of May. My order still says processing when I log into the web site. I have sent an e-mail and still not have had any communications or reassurances that my order is being fulfilled. There are almost no communication options with this company except a lone e-mail address under “About US”. I need some type of communication and update to my order please.

Finally received my Two-part Clamp-on M16 Bayonet Lug today and installed it was a perfect fit. The bayonet fits perfectly and tight. While it took about 5 weeks to arrive in the mail it actually arrived two days ahead of schedule. Cogburn is a bit difficult to get a hold of since they only have an e-mail for contact (Cogburn.arsenal@gmail.com). Once I was able to touch base with them everything worked out. It was worth the wait.

I used the .625 for my AR and it works perfect! Reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was unlike most barrel clamps out there that come with some sort of 3m padding that’s mils thin this bayonet lug doesn’t come with something to avoid metal in metal contact. Well I added a strip of black electrical tape and that should stop any possible rust buildup.. Hopefully it doesn’t melt.

Also the description says M3 mounting hardware so I was on the impression that the flathead hex screws were 3 millimeters. I think it was 2mm. Maybe it was standard and not metric. My fault for not double checking. I’ll order some replacement screws as I almost stripped the head of one.

    I highly recommend cogburn arsenal!!

This is a very good product. Mounted the two part lug on a M&P 15 (.750″ barrel) and it fit perfect. Easy to install and adds value to the rifle. Thank you Cogburn Arsenal for providing this fine product.

  15. Michael Walton

Received the two part lug yesterday and installed it on my M14. Worked perfectly.

Ordered a .730 lug to fit on my Steyr AUG fits perfectly and bayonet locks in securely once I took it on and off a few times to “work out the new.” Haven’t preformed real durability tests yet but seems solid and most importantly is easier to get ahold of than a surplus AUG lug.
