Description
Do you need some green bayonet scales to match your Colt 601 reproduction? Do you like the look of the brown plastic grips from the Dutch M4 bayonets? These early Cold War retro style bayonet grips can really make your rifle kit look complete. The OD green grips are a nice look-a-like of the Colt 601 bayonets. The brown ones look a little like the M3 trench knife and M4 bayonet. They look a little more appropriate with the wood stocks on the Mini-14 GB and AC-556 rifles.
The leather M6 scabbard (not included) looks great with the brown.
Updated March ’23: We manufacture these parts are 3D printed in the USA using an enhanced PLA in an FFF type machine. Please allow approximately 1 week for production after the order.
High quality #6-32 blackened brass inserts are used so that you can reuse the existing grip screws from your bayonet. (screws not included)

Style looks good and shipping time was reasonable, even with the notice of a 1 week lead time. But, the channel is too narrow to fit the bayonet tang. It’s going to require hand fitting. I reached out to see if it was okay to dremel out the tang channel more with the 3d printed material but never got an answer. Guess I’m going to give it a shot regardless because they aren’t usable right now.

Just balancing out my first review. The channel did need fitting, but the folks here at Cogburn did reach out and gave me some tips on how to do it, or offered to switch them out. I ended up using a file and just going slowly and that worked fine.

Happy with this product. Quicker than expected delivery. They are not as robust as original scales but I didn’t expect them to be. They look great. The only thing I wish I had delved deeper to see that they offered the same handles with no screw holes. I would have gone that route but that’s my bad. A+
