Description

The new SLx Micro Prism scopes from Primary Arms and their ‘Mini-ACOG’ mounting footprint fit nicely in our low profile optic mount by nesting between the ears of the rear sight. These optics sit so low, there is no need for a cheek riser or to use a chin weld for a good sight picture. (It’s even so low that the front sight obscures the elevation hold overs in the reticle). The small form factor of these scopes allow Garand’s and M14’s to still load with their clips and keep the action clear.

The latest version these of parts are milled from 7075-T6 Aluminum Alloy with a black hardcoat anodized finish. These parts feature better tolerance control, minor updates and ship with optic mounting screws as well as a mounting shim to aid in scope alignment (not needed for all rifles).

Visit our blogpost for more background and additional description of the 1x and 3x Microprism scopes from Primary Arms.

Purchased one of the M1 Garand with a Primary arms 3x.(PA-SLX-3XMP-RAPTOR-5YP) Was practically plug and play. Take rear sight apart put there adapter on the optic and mount to the receiver. A dream to shoot, highly recommend if you nave an astigmatism and shooting red dots and irons longer range are a pain.

I have an M1A1 Socom 16 and I absolutely love this mount for the PA 3x micro prism. I already loved the rifle, but this just took it to the next level!! The mount is extremely well-built and even though the rifle really kicks, it holds the optic right in place. Very happy I found this company and purchased this mount.

Excellent design, fit, & finish. Perfect for the 1X and 3X microprisms.

Works with the 5X & and the new PA piggyback reflex mount, but only with a riser. The 5X benefits from being mounted a little further back anyway. The low cantilever riser is nearly perfect.

I’ve been waiting for a mounting solution like this to come along ever since the micro prism was released. I bought 2 of these mounts, one has the 3x micro prism and the other has the newer 5x micro prism. I’ve got 300 rounds through these optics since receiving the mounts shooting at distances of 100-300 yards and I’m very pleased with these mounts. Brilliant idea that was executed very nicely.

This is The lightest optic mount for the m14 that will give magnification. It’s well made and the instructions are simple and give visual detail with no filler. This is a great mounting solution for my scout m1a.

The mount itself is machined very tight but the whole package is not so great.

Firstly-The included spacer is super thin sheet metal that is on the verge of falling out after install. Cogburn can email with more instructions. I’m an aircraft mechanic, followed the ones included, and took my time.

Secondly- I’m 5’9 and the Primary Arms 3x Micro Prism is unusable. To get even close to proper eye relief I have to push my neck super far forward and blade my stance like in High Power. NOT useful for anything practical or hunting.

I’m assuming the 1x is fine.
Why remove 600 yard iron sights on a 30-06 just to put on a 1x with no BDC???

Looks nice and fits well but doesn’t work for my microprisms at all. First I tried to use a 3x and it was sending groups 12-15″ high from POI and POA. Not enough elevation to bring it down over a foot more at only 50 yards.

I then tried my 1x microprism and nearly the same result but was able to get it within 6-8″ on paper.

Note both where near maxed out left windage as well.
