Description
The new SLx Micro Prism scopes from Primary Arms and their ‘Mini-ACOG’ mounting footprint fit nicely in our low profile optic mount by nesting between the ears of the rear sight. These optics sit so low, there is no need for a cheek riser or to use a chin weld for a good sight picture. (It’s even so low that the front sight obscures the elevation hold overs in the reticle). The small form factor of these scopes allow Garand’s and M14’s to still load with their clips and keep the action clear.
The latest version these of parts are milled from 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy with a black hardcoat anodized finish. These parts feature better tolerance control, minor updates and ship with optic mounting screws as well as a mounting shim to aid in scope alignment (not needed for all rifles).
Visit our blogpost for more background and additional description of the 1x and 3x Microprism scopes from Primary Arms.
Raymond Murray –
Are you planning on make this for the pre 580 mini-14s with m1 style rear sight mount. Could this mount be modified to work.
cogburn –
There is no way to modify this part to fit. It’s way too big, the screws don’t line up in the same places at all.

Purchased one of the M1 Garand with a Primary arms 3x.(PA-SLX-3XMP-RAPTOR-5YP) Was practically plug and play. Take rear sight apart put there adapter on the optic and mount to the receiver. A dream to shoot, highly recommend if you nave an astigmatism and shooting red dots and irons longer range are a pain.
